Hi lovely,
Are you living in the USA? And wonder if Via di Gioia ships to you as well? We do! And no extra costs are involved. Here are the most Frequenly Asked Questions about shipping to the USA, to get you informed and worry-free.
Will I have to pay import duties or taxes when ordering from the US?
For orders under $800, you won’t have to pay any import duties or taxes. So no need to worry! This is because of the U.S. minimis rule, which exempts shipments under $800 from customs fees or import duties.
What if my order is over $800?
Orders over $800 will be subject to import duties or customs charges. These will be billed to you by the shipping carrier (such as UPS, DHL, or USPS) before delivery.
Have there been recent changes to import tariffs from Europe to the US due to Trump’s administration?
Yes. As of April 2025, a 20% import tariff applies to goods imported from Europe that exceed the $800 threshold. Orders below this amount remain duty-free.
Can you divide my order to multiple packages to avoid import duties?
We are not able to divide one order over multiple packages, and therefore ship orders exactly as placed, in one parcel. If you’d like to stay under the $800 threshold, we recommend placing separate orders.
Are there any other fees I need to think about?
No, that’s it! If the value of your order stays under $800, you’ll only pay for the items and the shipping costs.
Where is Via di Gioia located, and how fast is shipping?
We’re based in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. We’re close to Amsterdam Schiphol Airport: Europe’s most internationally connected airport. Schiphol offers direct daily flights to dozens of cities across the United States, Canada, and South America, making it a major global hub for fast and efficient shipping.
Shipping to the USA takes between 2–4 working days, you won’t even notice it’s coming from another continent.
